Medical Physician Preparation (MPP) Academy

A Division of the NAPCA Foundation

We are committed to building a diverse pipeline of future medical doctors, as early as 4th grade, that is more representative of the U.S. population.

Admission Checklist for Prospective Students:

We have put together a flow chart which we hope will help you understand NAPCA’s admissions process.

Grade Requirement:

Current 3rd grade students are invited to apply for admission.

Academic Performance:

We are looking for students who are serious about academics and have a strong commitment to strengthening their academic performance in school.  Students are required to submit their most recent academic report card.

We require one recommendation for each student applying for admission to understand their academic background. The recommender must be from an academic teacher.

Student & Parent Interview

Within 2 weeks after you have submitted a complete online application including the admissions essay and unofficial transcript you will be contacted by a staff member from the MPP Academy Office of Admissions and will be asked to attend an Admissions Interview via telephone.

During the interview session, we will ask questions about the student’s academic and career goals, why they decided to apply for admission, and their extra-curricular activities. In addition, we will ask parents questions to get a better insight on where their son or daughter is today as it relates to their college and career path. Please be prepared to do most of the talking! Additionally, prospective students along with their parents will have an opportunity to ask specific questions about the MPP Academy.

Admissions Process:

We are now accepting applications for the next cohort of students at the MPP Academy! There is no cost to apply.  We use a rolling admissions process which means that our office of admissions team will evaluate applications as they are received versus waiting to evaluate all applications after a hard deadline. Therefore, we will accept applications until we have filled all seats for the incoming cohort.

Join Our Next Cohort

We are accepting applications from current 3rd grade students for our next cohort that will start in summer 2022.

After deciding which student type is right for you: Commuter or Commuter Extended you will need to gather the following information and documentation needed to submit a complete online application for admission:

  • Students should know the program name, location, and session dates they would like to be considered for admission. Applications are open to more than one program session.
  • Parents will need to provide their information which includes their name, email address, home address, phone number, and occupation.
  • The MPP Academy requires one recommendation for each student applying for admission to understand their academic background. The recommendation must be from an academic teacher.
  • Students are required to request a copy of their unofficial academic transcript from their school as this will need to be uploaded to the online admissions application.

Please Note: Allow approximately 20 minutes to complete the entire application, you will not be able to save your incomplete application. Please plan accordingly.
