PACKING SUGGESTIONS

Many NAPCA students that decide to live on campus during the program, come to campus with the essentials (listed below). If students forget to bring something or run out of personal hygiene items, the university has a campus store that has health and grooming supplies, computer and school supplies, and many other products that you can find at stores such as Target. In the event that there is something that your student cannot find an item needed on campus, our program staff will do our best to pick up the item(s) needed for your child.

BURSAR’S OFFICE

The Bursar’s Office is responsible for servicing program tuition/fees payments, student accounts, and refunds. The bursar’s office is also responsible for areas including accounts payable, invoicing and receipt of all payments, and the tuition refund insurance plan contracted with A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. (www.tuitionrefundplan.com).

The Tuition Refund Insurance plan is optional insurance that students may purchase for a small fee during fall, spring, and summer terms. It provides a refund of tuition and fees to a student who must withdraw from all classes due to an illness or accidental injury. Tuition Refund Insurance protects the significant financial investment a student makes in tuition at NAPCA.

STUDENT SAFETY & SUPERVISION SERVICES

Student safety and supervision are our first priority at NAPCA. Campus security officers and designated NAPCA staff frequently patrol all campus facilities used by the program. Students are supervised by NAPCA staff throughout their entire day as they move from activity to activity in our small group format.

For those students that live on campus, nightly room checks are conducted to ensure all students are safe and secure, and designated staff perform scheduled walkthroughs of the residence halls while students are resting in their dorm rooms from 11:00pm to 7:00am. During site visits, all students must stay with their assigned group and staff member as well as cooperate with site-specific security measures. Our staff of highly experienced educators are trained in safety and emergency procedures. Staff members are carefully screened and undergo background checks.

Comprehensive communication plans are put in place prior to the start of programs. Staff members remain in constant contact with each other and with the on-site office. Emergency communication plans are also in place, allowing us to communicate directly with parents in the event of an emergency. An emergency response network is in place to provide assistance during regular program hours, after hours, and on weekends.
